Information You Submit
Search forms send the name, phone number, or address entered to the outside provider that supplies the results. We do not retain a copy of those queries on our own servers. When you contact us, we receive the details you choose to send and use them to address that communication.
Information Collected Automatically
Standard hosting logs may record an IP address, browser type, requested pages, and timestamps. Aggregated log data helps maintain the service and show which resources visitors use. Cookies or similar tools may also support basic analytics and advertising measurement when those functions apply.
How the Data Is Used
We process this limited information to run the site, diagnose faults, measure traffic, and improve content. We do not sell visitor lists or construct individual user profiles.
Privacy on Linked Services
Links lead to government systems, Davidson and Randolph county offices, North Carolina agencies, library collections, and third-party tools. Information submitted on an outside service is controlled by that service’s policy. The same is true for sponsored search results supplied by an outside company.
Parties That May Process Data
Hosting and support vendors process server logs for us. Analytics or advertising providers may receive the automatic information described above. Data may also be disclosed when valid legal process requires it. We do not otherwise distribute visitor information.
Security and Retention
An encrypted connection serves the site. Server logs are kept only for as long as the stated operating purposes require. Since users do not create accounts, this service holds no user password or account profile.
Visitors Under Age 18
This service is meant for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Contact us if a minor has submitted such information so it can be deleted.
Your Privacy Choices
Rights to access, correct, or delete data vary by residence and applicable law. North Carolina has no broad consumer-privacy statute that creates a universal deletion or opt-out right for all such data. Because we retain little information, a request will usually be limited to our contact mailbox and available server logs. Use the Contact page to submit one. Records held by Thomasville, Davidson County, Randolph County, or North Carolina agencies remain under the custodian’s control. G.S. 132-1.10(f) supplies a separate process for asking a Register of Deeds or Clerk to remove specified identifiers from an online official-record image.
Changes to This Policy
Any revised policy will be posted here. Using the service after a revision takes effect indicates acceptance of the updated terms.
